Switzerland Raises Terror Alert in Geneva

Geneva - Swiss authorities on Thursday raised the terror alert in Geneva after they reportedly received intelligence of four terror suspects believed to be connected to the Paris attacks in the area.

"The Geneva police, on the basis of this information, have increased their level of vigilance and reinforced the number of police agents on the ground," the Geneva department of security said in a statement.

Swiss federal police said they had transferred information about people with possible links to terrorism, but were not connecting them to Islamist militant attacks in Paris last month.

Since the Paris attacks, Swiss and French authorities have been working closely together.
