Speaker of Cambodian national assembly applauds Morocco's democratic transition

Rabat - Speaker of Cambodian National Assembly Heng Samrin applauded the management of democratic transition in Morocco, thanks to the far-sighted vision of HM King Mohammed VI, hailing the role played by the kingdom in establishing peace in Cambodia in the 80s.

During the meeting with Speaker of the House of Advisers Mohamed Sheikh Biadillah, the Cambodian official stressed that his visit to Morocco falls within the framework of strengthening relations between his country and the kingdom, calling for intensifying visits and expertise sharing between MPs from both States, according to a House of Advisers' press release issued on Wednesday.

On this occasion, Biadillah informed Heng Samrin of the particularities of the Moroccan democratic experience, highlighting the importance of the new constitution's achievements which paved the way for a smooth, peaceful democratic transition in the kingdom, under the guidance of HM King Mohammed VI.
