Morocco is among top priority countries in the Spanish foreign policy, said Margallo during the presentation at the Casa Arabe foundation's headquarters of the monthly magazine "Atalayar entre dos orillas" (a watchtower between the two shores) which was issued in Spain to spread knowledge between the country and the Maghreb.

The minister noted that his country attaches great importance to its relations with Morocco, a country that has opted for reform in order to strengthen the process of democratization.

Margallo said that a large delegation of Spanish businessmen will accompany King Juan Carlos during his first visit to Morocco, July 15-17, at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

He also emphasized the importance of countries in Northern Africa for the EU, calling for more cooperation between the two parties.

The presentation ceremony of the said magazine, which aims to remedy the lack of communication between the countries of the two shores of the Mediterranean and objectively examine current events in the region, was attended by many officials and ambassadors including Morocco's ambassador in Madrid Ahmad Ould Souilem.
