Spain: Over 265,000 Moroccans Affiliated to Social Security
Madrid - A total of 265,699 Moroccans were affiliated to social security in Spain by the end of January 2020, according to official figures. Moroccans top foreign non-EU workers affiliated to social security in Spain, ahead of the Chinese (106,613), Colombians (74,061) and Ecuadorians (71,281), the Spanish ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security said Thursday in a release.
As for the number of foreigners who were affiliated to social security in the same period, it has reached 2,090,440, up by 6.29% compared to January 2019. The number of Moroccans living legally in Spain reached 734,402 by the end of the first term of 2019, up by 2.9% compared to January 1st, 2019, according to the National Statistics Institute.
