Seminar on « Research in Humanities and Social Sciences: Moroccan and British Experiences » Agadir, 15-16 June 2012

During this seminar, Moroccan and British specialists and experts working in the field of humanities and social sciences will be exchanging their point of views on the issue of research in this domain, disseminating good practices for the sake of academic excellence and paving the way to a fruitful cooperation between Moroccan and UK universities.

This seminar will be organized around general plenary sessions and three thematic workshops:

•    Role of Humanities and social sciences in local development; 
•    Structuring, inter-connexion and evaluation;
•    Finance and partnership.

The choice of this theme is relevant on a number of counts. In fact, in order to overcome the challenge of globalization, at the time of “knowledge economy”, it has become of utmost importance to improve the quality and efficiency of education, given that development and progress depend very much on the quality of educational systems, which should be able to answer the needs of social, human, economic, and cultural development.
