An article in The Guardian quotes prosecution spokesman Taha Ba'ara as saying that Saif ul-Islam’s trial is likely to be delayed as Abdullah Sennusi may have information relating to his trial.
Saif ul-Islam trial may be delayed for Abdullah Sennusi questioning.
It is perhaps possible that Senussi, Gaddafi’s spymaster may have been offered some kind of deal to provide information on regime members.

An article in the Egypt Independent reveals that there are many  prominent ex Gaddafi loyalists living in Cairo and suggests that official moves are afoot to have them extradited for trial in Libya. Some of them have been accused of involvement in recent bombings in Tripoli by Libya’s General National Congress. Several, including Mohamed Ismail, the former secretary of Qadhafi’s son Saif al-Islam’s office, Tayeb al-Safy, former minister of economy and commerce, and Khaled Hamidy, an officer in a Qadhafi brigade. They  have been meeting regularly in the Four Seasons Hotel, the newspaper says. Libya’s investments in Egypt total $21 billion, which in it self is a reason to listen to Libya’s extradition requests.

The Guardian says that the International Criminal Court may protest to the UN Security Council if Sennussi is tried in Libya, as it regards the matter as being in its jurisdiction. However the Libyan government has said that it intends to try Seif ul-Islam and Sennusi in Libya.
