Sahara: Spain-based NGO calls Polisario to accept Morocco's autonomy proposal
Madrid - A non-governmental organization, (the Association of the Moroccan Sahara friends) based in Spain, called the Polisario separatists to accept Morocco's autonomy proposal as a means to settle the conflict and put an end to the sufferings of the populations sequestered in the Tindouf camps, southwestern Algeria.

The association president Rachid Faris Semmahi called in a release published Thursday the association to renounce its present "apathy", stressing that "the autonomy formula proposed by Morocco enjoys the confidence of the international community, particularly the USA, France and Russia, as well as the populations of the Moroccan southern provinces".
Faris Semmahi also urged Algerian leaders to be brave and support the Moroccan autonomy initiative, keeping in mind the positive effects this will have on the inhabitants of the southern provinces and on the entire region.
