In a chronicle published by Paraguayan daily "Diario XXI", the journalist stresses that Paraguay's stance over the Sahara issue was reaffirmed by speaker of the Latin American country's senate, Julio César Velasquez Tilleria, during his recent visit to Morocco where he met Moroccan officials.

After recalling Algeria's role in creating the "Polisario", the reporter stresses that Paraguay which was also amputated from an immense part of its territory in 1870 and in 1938 has decided to show solidarity with Morocco against Algerian attempts to shave off part of Moroccan land which was legitimately recovered.

He also reveals that Algeria has corrupted leaders of some small countries that have no influence to drive them to recognize the puppet Sahara republic, recalling, in this context, how former Liberian dictator Samuel Doe recognized in the 80's recognized the Sahara republic in exchange of a helicopter gunship which was delivered by Algerian intelligence services via a French arms trafficker.

He goes on that the Polisario separatists suffered another setback when the Spanish highest court -Audiencia nacional- refused to close a case filed in 2007 against the Polisario and Algerian military officers for "genocide and serious human rights violations" in the Tindouf camps.
