Montreal: The engineering and construction group SNC Lavalin from Quebec will ensure a continuous training program for the benefit of the 19,000 employees of OCP.

The Quebec company SNC Lavalin has won a major contract with the global Moroccan giant OCP phosphate group which will provide an education program tailored for the benefit of OCP employees, with one of the leading groups of engineering and construction companies in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure and operational services and maintenance, in this case, the Quebec group SNC Lavalin.

The Canadian operator, a world leader in its field, will provide the 19,000 OCP employees with updates, training and valuation skills in various fields such as operations and maintenance, extraction, concentration, processes of sulfuric and phosphoric acid, fertilizer production and utilities.

Employees will be trained in the new OCP in terms of management of routine and exceptional situations and improving their skills in troubleshooting and decision making.

The early stages of this program were launched in Casablanca and Montreal, according to the classes of employeesand will be extended until 2014, deployed in four dedicate centers that OCP is building.

According to media sources in Canada, the amount of the transaction was not disclosed, but it agrees with the estimate of size, number of sources close to the matter.
