Royal visit to Taourirt: consolidating the role of handicraft as source of job-creation and value added
The project, which necessitated a budget of more than 8 million dirhams, will provide young people of the region with a professional qualification that meets the socio-economic reality of the handicraft sector, mainly through apprenticeship and integration into the labour market.

It will thus contribute to preserving some declining craft trades, promoting local handicrafts and strengthening the organization and structuring of the sector.

Spanning on a total area of ??2,500 square metres, the new village also aims to support, organize and supervise the craftsmen of the province to enable them to improve and diversify their income and promote their products.

The village is part of the handicraft regional development plan and Vision 2015 for the development of the sector, a growth- and employment-oriented proactive vision.
