Royal visit to Marrakech: community social-sports facilities consolidated
Marrakech - The proximity policy advocated by HM King Mohammed VI was once again illustrated by the social-sports projects dedicated or launched on Thursday in Marrakech by the Sovereign to improve the urban population's living environment and support the city development.

The Sovereign dedicated a multi-purpose indoors sports hall in Ennakhil district and launched construction of a community swimming pool in the same district and a sports compound in Al Mohammadi district.
The facilities that are part of the national initiative for human development are worth 34 million MAD. They illustrate HM the King's will to give a strong impetus to the city's ongoing dynamic development and the Sovereign's insightful vision that makes of sport a fundamental element for the development of young people's capacities and personal competence.
Fruit of partnership between the national initiative for human development and the Marrakech urban commune, the new sports facilities will host training and sports events, in a bid to promote the emergence of new talents in sports. They will contribute to fight youth deviations and guarantee the social and sports integration of the targeted population by improving and expanding access to basic equipment and services.
These projects, supporting the four-year 2014-2017 program "Marrakech, city of permanent renewal", launched on Monday by HM the King, were carried out after consultation with the civil society.
