Royal Air Maroc Wins National eGovernment Award
Rabat - Morocco's national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) won, here Thursday, the E-mtiaz Award in the "Website" category of the National Award for Electronic administration "e-mtiaz 2014".
Distance sales business "continued its steady growth since it has multiplied by nine in seven years," while the number of visitors increased from 2.5 millions in 2006 to 19 millions in 2014, RAM said in a statement.
The turnover via Internet constitutes 25 pc of the total turnover of the company, including 13 pc representing the turnover on the website www.royalairmaroc.com, the company added.
RAM also noted a remarkable improvement in distance sales (+ 25% in November 2014) since the launch of the new website, and an increase of 22 pc of the number of site visitors till November 2014.
