Road accident kills 5 and injures 16 in Tétouan

Tétouan - The death toll of the road accident that happened on Sunday in Tétouan (northern Morocco) rose to five people, a medical source said.

Three people died on the spot, a fourth one perished in the Saniat Rmel provincial hospital and a fifth, the driver, succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning, it said, adding that the injured are 16, including some who are badly wounded.

A mini bus collided with a building in the Sidi Talha neighborhood downtown the city of Tétouan, after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

A police source said that the accident was caused by speed and excess passengers.
