Rabat - The royal speech to the nation on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the people is the main theme that engaged the attention of the editorials of Moroccan dailies on Thursday.

"L'Opinion" argues that this landmark speech was frank, direct, and right to the point, discussing one of the thorniest issues in Morocco, and which matters to a great deal of Moroccans: education. Under the title "The Speech of Truth," the columnist notes that the speech "highlighted the dysfunctions of a sector that has always been a tough one to solve. In this speech, the Monarch wondered why "a segment of our youth cannot achieve their legitimate aspirations at the professional, physical and social levels."

"Aujourd'hui le Maroc" notes that the royal speech showed that the reform of the education sector remains a major concern to the Sovereign.

"L'Economiste "and "Assabah" argue that the Sovereign criticized the government policy in the field of education, adding that the HM the King "has spoken on behalf of the parents of many Moroccan young people, and more generally, on behalf of the interests of the country."

For its part, "Le Soir Echos" stresses that the royal speech of August 20, was "a strong wake up call to the entire political class, and a message of hope for all Moroccans."

"Al Alam" argues that in his speech, the Monarch has placed special interest in education and training in the country, noting that its language was rather daring, frank while pinpointing the inadequacies of the Moroccan educational system.

"Al Ahdath Al Maghribia" stresses that the Sovereign believes in the importance of the human capital, adding that in the absence of social and economic rehabilitation of the Moroccan youth, it is hard to imagine any type of development and progress.

According to "Rissalat Al Ummah ", "a new revolution is the key word and the focus of the speech" of the Sovereign, it is "a revolution that looks to the future by making the human resources that are the real wealth of Morocco.
