Rally in Rabat in solidarity with Charlie Hebdo victims
Rabat - A rally in solidarity with the victims of Charlie Hebdo shootings was staged, on Friday in front of French news agency office (AFP) in Rabat, with the participation of journalists, artists, academics, civil society representatives and citizens from all walks of life.

The participants in this silent sit-in, staged with no speeches or banners, held candles as a symbol of hope for a better future and solidarity with the victims who fell during the despicable terrorist attack against the French satirical magazine.

This rally is a revolt against this terrorist act which has no justification whatsoever, chairman of rights council CNDH Driss El Yazami told MAP.

Ambassador of France in Rabat, Charles Fries noted that this event is meant to show "our compassion with the families of the victims who died two days ago and also this afternoon", adding that this rally is an occasion to show "our rejection of such fanatical acts which are not related to Islam."
