A statement from the ANFAPS, received Wednesday at the MAP says that the event will begin at 10:00 am, will be launched in collaboration with the department of the Rabat-Salé-Zemmours-Zaers, the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, the Moroccan Games and Sports and the National Committee for the Prevention of Traffic Accidents (CNPAC). It will bring together participants of different ages.

The theme "Car Free Day" provides support to the call for the introduction of the car-free day in the city of Rabat in the image of the world capitals for the health and well being of every individual, explain the organisers.

Celebrating the listing of Rabat  as World Heritage UNESCO site, to raise awareness for the sustainability of an annual car-free day, helps strengthen awareness of the event in its sports-recreational and educational aims using the bicycle as a means of transport for health and well-being.

This day is also an opportunity to raise awareness of respect for users of bikes that are most often exposed to traffic accidents through the development of a course for this purpose by the CNPAC open to children aged between 3 and 12 years.
