Protests in Egypt find another target

Ongoing clashes near the US Embassy in Cairo are not only about the highly-controversial US-made film that insults the Prophet Muhammad, Al Ahram reports.
Protests in Egypt find another target
Following the protests at the US Embassy  over the film "the <Innocence of Muslims" of where the American flag was burnt the focus of the protests is turning into  clashes with the police which appears to be motivated by resentment of past encounters with the Ministry of Interior and the fact that none has been held accountable for the deaths of demonstrators in previous incidents.

Clashes against police forces ensued, with protesters showing no signs of abating as confrontations left a 35-year-old man dead and more than 250 injured, including 53 security personnel. The lingering animosity is likely to continue long after the protests have subsided.

The New York Times note that the initial impetus of the Arab Spring for freedom and diginity has now seen a loss of authority and the ability to maintain order by governments in the region.  Western leaders have called for an end to the protests and the violence against its embassies which risk  further  damaging relations between the West and the islamic world.  Mohamed Morsi in Egypt , Rime Minister Mustafa Abushagur in Libya and Hamadi Jebail Prime Minister have allsaid that the violence is unacceptable.
