President of European Parliament pays heartfelt tribute to André Azoulay
Strasbourg - President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz paid a heartfelt tribute to actions by HM the King's advisor André Azoulay, head of Anna Lindh Foundation, and to his commitment to furthering the Euro-Mediterranean partnership.

"It is inside the European Parliament and before the Union for the Mediterranean parliamentary assembly that André Azoulay and Elisabeth Guigou chose to deliver their first joint speech, thus confirming the convergence between our civil society and their elected members," Martin Schulz said on Wednesday in Strasbourg.

Schulz also lauded the decision by the Council of Europe to grant Azoulay its prestigious 2014 North-South Prize.

Speaking on this occasion, Azoulay, Anna Lindh Foundation outgoing president, underlined the symbolic and rich dimension of his presence and speech the same day the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for recognizing the State of Palestine and reviving the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
