Preliminary investigation: State Minister struck by train as he was crossing railway on foot

Rabat - Late State Minister, Abdellah Baha, who passed away on Sunday, was struck by a Rabat-bound train as he was attempting to cross the railway on foot, General Prosecutor at Casablanca's Court of Appeal said in a statement on Monday.

The train driver used sound and light signals to alert the deceased who tried to retreat in vain before being struck by the train which threw his body meters away.

The statement added that Baha lost his life in a spot only meters away from the place where late MP Ahmed Zaidi died last November 9. Investigations on the accident are still ongoing, noted the statement.
