Pedro Sanchez's Message to Sovereign Reinforces Morocco's Position on Sahara (Argentinean Academic)
In a statement to MAP, in reaction to the message of Pedro Sanchez, this researcher at the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina emphasized the "unprecedented" character of this new Spanish position, which comes to "approve", according to him, the recognition by the United States of the sovereignty of Morocco over the Sahara.
"There is no doubt that this Spanish position is favorable to Morocco" in the Sahara issue, insisted the Argentine professor.
"At the same time, he said, this decision contributes to decompress the recent tension in relations between the two countries" after the episode of the hosting of the so-called Brahim Ghali in a Spanish hospital, considering that the message of Pedro Sanchez allows "to close also this stage opened by this incident".
