Paris international symposium lauds Morocco's efforts to combat extremism
Paris - International symposium "The Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue in the Feminine", held on Tuesday in Paris, hailed efforts by Morocco to fight extremism and promote Islam values of moderation.

In the "Call of Paris" after the event, initiated by AFACOM and ISESCO, the participants underlined Morocco's support through the training of imams (religious leaders) in many countries pursuant to the instructions of HM King Mohammed VI.

Morocco's initiatives are meant to help spread a moderate Islam, fight radical deviations and encourage interfaith and intercultural dialogue, said the lecturers.

In this respect, the Call of Paris refuted any confusion between Islam and fanatical deviations which are largely condemned by Muslims who are the first victims, particularly women and children.
