Officials from Moroccan and Spanish justice ministries meet in Madrid over Spanish paedophile case

Madrid - Top officials from the Moroccan and Spanish justice ministries held a meeting on Tuesday in Madrid over the case of a Spanish paedophile who was condemned to a 30 year-prison term before he was inadvertently granted pardon by HM King Mohammed VI who later on withdrew the pardon.

Following the withdrawal of the royal pardon, HM King Mohammed VI issued instructions to minister of justice and freedoms to examine with Spanish peer effects to follow the pardon withdrawal.

The Spanish minister expressed the Spanish government's total readiness to enforce the pardon withdrawal and ensure that the man, named Daniel Galvan, does not escape justice.

Galvan -who was arrested on Monday in the Spanish city of Murcia - was remanded in custody on Tuesday by a judge from Spain's highest criminal jurisdiction.
