Official welcoming ceremony in Marrakech for Emir of State of Qatar
Marrakech - HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired, on Friday in the Mechouar Square at the Marrakech royal palace, the official welcoming ceremony for the Emir of the State of Qatar, HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, who is on an official visit to Morocco at the sovereign's invitation.

Upon the procession's arrival at the Mechouar Square, HM the King and his distinguished guest headed for the VIP stand to salute the flags while the national anthems of both countries were playing. A 21-gun salute was fired to welcome Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani was greeted by the head of government, the speakers of both houses of parliament, advisors of HM the King and cabinet members.
The Emir of Qatar was also welcomed by HM the King's chamberlain, Director of the Royal Court, Chargés de mission at the Royal Office, the dean of the diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, heads of Arab diplomatic missions accredited to Rabat, senior officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the Director General of intelligence agency (DGED), the Director General of National Police, the Director General of territory surveillance, the Wali of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region, elected bodies and representatives of local authorities.
He was also greeted by members of the honor committee which includes mainly Interior minister Mohamed Hassad and Morocco's ambassador in Doha El Mekki Gaouane.
HM the King was greeted, on this occasion, by members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir of Qatar and members of Qatar's embassy in Morocco.
The Emir of Qatar is accompanied by an important delegation composed notably of Sheikh Joann Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani.
It also includes foreign minister Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, finance minister Ali Cherif Al Imadi, youth minister Salah Bin Ghanem Al Ali, economy minister Sheikh Ahmed Bin Jassem Bin Mohammed Al Thani, labor minister Abdallah Bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, director of the Emir of Qatar's office Sheikh Khalid Bin Khalifa Bin Abdelaziz Al Thani, and CEO of Qatar Investment Authority Ahmad Mohamed Al Sayed.
