Official lauds good ties, exemplary cooperation between Morocco and Spain

Madrid - Morocco and Spain have good relations and an exemplary cooperation in the economic, security and immigration fields, said minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida.

 

"We are very satisfied with the relations we have with Spain, Morocco's top partner in many areas," the minister told Spanish news agency "EFE" on the sidelines of her participation, on Wednesday in Madrid, in the ministerial conference on Libya's stability and development.

 

At the political level, there is a remarkable understanding, said the Moroccan official, noting that Spain is also a partner and a friend of Morocco within the EU.

 

Concerning the fight against illegal immigration, Bouaida said that the immigration inflow towards Spain decreased by 80-90% over the past years thanks to a very constructive cooperation between the two neighboring countries and Morocco's new migration policy as well.
