The Atlanta-based council, which aims to promote economic flows between the United States and North African countries, especially Morocco, attaches great importance to strengthening its relations with Morocco, Gupta told MAP, noting that Morocco has positioned itself as a gateway to Africa thanks to the progress that the Kingdom has made especially in financial services.

Gupta, also CEO and founder of Rebirth Financial Inc, said his group is ready to contribute to promoting financial flows and accelerating US investment in Morocco.

The expert, speaking on the sidelines of the 5th Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES-Marrakech 2014), also hailed the efforts made by the Moroccan government to expand the scope of business for young people and women entrepreneurs and promote their access to funding sources.

Morocco has also made great strides towards strengthening its attractiveness to foreign investors, said Gupta, who hosts the American "Entrepreneur Happy Hour" radio talk show.

"Morocco is trying to make progress in promoting the financial sector", he said, adding that these efforts have been enhanced by the establishment of Casablanca Finance City.

Regarding the GES-Marrakech 2014, the American consultant said the Marrakech Summit has offered "an ideal platform" for a fruitful exchange among the participants on how to promote entrepreneurship especially for women and young entrepreneurs.

The North African Economic Research Council is an independent research non-profit organization dedicated to the economic development in the North African area.

The Council adopts a holistic approach of the economic development in the region that seeks to provide a clear view on the challenges, the potential answers, and the set of tools that can be deployed.
