Rabat - Morocco will host the 5th Global Humanitarian Aviation Conference & Exhibition on October 9-11 in Marrakech, director general of civil aviation Abdellah Bouhouche announced on Wednesday in Marrakech.

Morocco was chosen for its active and outstanding role within international aviation organizations, he said at a press conference to present the event held under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.
The event is an opportunity to highlight Morocco's achievements concerning the Open-Sky and the development of an air security system as well as the modernization of related legal mechanisms, he added.
The conference will be attended by 300 participants representing 90 national and international organizations to discuss strategies aimed at promoting the sector of humanitarian aviation.
The conference, which has become an annual global event, aims at assembling elite aviation innovators, decision-makers and accountable managers to discuss a broad spectrum of pressing aviation safety concerns affecting humanitarian air operations and emerging trends in the Aviation industry.
