The minister was speaking before the UNGA as part of the high-level dialogue (Oct. 3-4) on "International Migration and Development".

The international community should be aware of the humanitarian consequences of severe crises affecting immigrant mainly in Africa and should identify problems and means to deal with them according to international law and good practices, he said.

He recalled that Morocco was among the first states to ratify the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families in 1993.
