Morocco slams expulsion of Syrians by Algeria
Rabat, Morocco - Morocco has protested to the Algerian government over the increasing numbers of Syrian refugees expelled into Morocco.

The Interior Ministry issued a statement saying that just between Sunday and Tuesday the Algerians expelled 77 Syrians into Morocco, including 18 women and 43 children, some less than two months old.
The statement expressed regret for the "dramatic" situation of these refugees and described their expulsion into Morocco as contrary to the rules of "good neighbors."
Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in Syria in 2011, at least 2.4 million have fled Syria, mostly to neighboring countries.
Morocco is a major jumping off point for immigrants, usually from sub-Saharan Africa, seeking entry into Europe.
