Helsinki - Morocco seeks to establish a strategic partnership and an efficient cooperation with Finland and Estonia, said, Thursday in Helsinki, minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida, who started on Tuesday a three-day visit to the two countries.

It is of paramount importance to establish a strategic bilateral and regional partnership and enrich relations between the Kingdom and the two Nordic countries, Bouaida told MAP.

The official said that her visit is aimed at establishing a permanent political dialogue, giving new momentum to trade relations and identifying sectors with a strong potential as new technologies, innovation, clean energy and education.

This visit was an occasion to share viewpoints on several regional and international issues and reinforce consultations between Morocco and the two EU member states, Bouaida said.

The Moroccan minister delegate for foreign affairs added that the talks with the two countries' officials touched also on the need to boost the inflow of Finnish and Estonian tourists towards Morocco, promote security cooperation and share information mainly regarding cyber-security.

Bouaida met mainly with Finnish foreign minister Erkki Tuomioja, first vice-speaker of Finland's parliament Pekka Ravi and minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Lenita Toivakka.
