Morocco's special position in renewable energy field draws China's attention
Rabat - Morocco's special position in the renewable energy field is drawing the attention of China which intends to explore investment opportunities in the area, said, Wednesday in Rabat, Energy, Mining, Water and Environment minister Abdelkader Amara.
Speaking after a meeting with a delegation of Chinese investors led by president of Shanghai Electric group Huang Dinan, the minister noted that, Morocco which earmarked 36 billion dollars over the next 10 years to the energy sector, is a promising market for this Chinese group which was informed about the national program on renewable energy.
For his part, Dinan voiced his wish to gain a foothold in Morocco to benefit from cooperation opportunities in the electricity field in which the group is a leading company.
Shanghai Electric Group is one of the largest mechanical and electrical equipment manufactory enterprises in China.
