Morocco's chairmanship of OIC ministerial contact group meeting, renewed expression of Palestine's place in Moroccans' hearts

Rabat - The meeting of the ministerial contact group of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Al Quds Asharif and Palestine, held on Wednesday in Rabat, is a renewed expression of the place that the Palestinian cause and the city of Al Quds enjoy in the hearts of Moroccans, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al Quds Committee, said foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar.

Speaking at the meeting, Mezouar said that the Al Quds Committee spared no effort to defend the rights of Palestinians and support their resistance through influential diplomatic mobilization and concrete actions in the city of Al Quds by the Bait Mal Al Quds Asharif Agency, an arm of the Committee. 

He added that the meeting takes place amid a dangerous crisis and an unprecedented escalation due to the Israeli aggressive policies against Palestinians.

He recalled the resumption of settlement building policy with the announcement of constructing 2,610 units in eastern Al Quds, the closing by the occupation forces of the doors of Al Aqsa mosque, thus forbidding Palestinians from entering the site, and the destruction of house and random arrests.
