Casablanca - An agreement protocol on airport management was signed Tuesday in Casablanca, between the National Office of Airports (ONDA) and "les Aéroports du Mali" (ADM) to strengthen cooperation between the two parties.
Signed by the ONDA's Director General, Zohair Mohamed El Aoufir, and ADM's CEO, Colonel Daouda Doumbia, the agreement identifies needed mechanisms and resources for fruitful cooperation between the two parties on airport management, particularly through the creation of specialized technical committees and missions to be carried out by Moroccan and Malian experts.

The Malian delegation made a prospective visit to the Mohammed VI Academy of Civil Aviation which trains civil aviation engineers, air traffic controllers and aviation safety technicians.

The delegation had also toured the National Air Security Control Center (NCCAH) to learn about the Moroccan proven expertise in this area.

The National Office of Airports makes available to its counterpart in Mali its know-how and expertise in several areas, including management of airport operations, safety, training and use of advanced technologies in airport management, El Aoufir said.

For his part, Colonel Daouda explained that the agreement covers airport security, training and improvement of commercial revenues of the airports, noting that the Malian side seeks the support of Moroccan partners in these areas, given the experience that Morocco has accumulated.
