Morocco's Human Rights Efforts Highlighted at Conference in Sofia
Sofia - President of the National Human Rights Council Driss El Yazami highlighted Morocco's human rights efforts at a conference on Tuesday in Sofia.

El Yazami who was speaking at the university of St. Kliment Ohridsk on the challenges facing human rights in a globalized world, shed light on the evolution of human rights in Morocco with the establishment of rights monitoring bodies in tandem with the evolution of the Moroccan civil society.
El Yazami also briefed the audience on the process of institutional consolidation in Morocco and the cultural and social diversity in the Kingdom.
He also pointed out to the similarities between Morocco and Bulgaria as two countries that are becoming a destination for immigrants.
In this respect, he said that in an interconnected globalized world, immigration can be considered as a source for cultural enrichment of host and transit societies provided it is managed in a wide and democratic way.
