In a press statement, Mezouar reaffirmed the same point of view expressed by HM King Mohammed VI during phone talks he held with Islamic heads of state regarding the need to fight Israeli expansion and dangerous changes meant to alter the reality in the holy city of Al Quds.

He also reiterated Morocco's firm and unwavering readiness to uphold Arab causes, on top of them the issue of Al Quds.

Regarding Libya, the Moroccan official urged Arab countries to support the Libyan stakeholders as the Libyan dialog process is entering its final stage, noting that stability in Libya will help bring about stability in the Arab world.

He stressed that Libyan rival parties have no alternative other than signing the draft reconciliation agreement and agree on the name of figures who will be leading the transition period.

The Arab foreign ministers' agenda also included discussions on the crises in Yemen and Syria, said Mezouar who called for resumption of stability and return of Syrians in their country and urged for focusing on counterterrorism.
