Morocco is ranked 87th in the Foreign Policy Report on failed states

Morocco is the second safest country after Tunisia that despite the troubles of the Arab spring is the most efficient state in the Maghreb.

In this year's eighth annual report on failed states, resulting from its cooperation with The Fund for Peace,  the U.S. Foreign Policy and International Relations journal Foreign Policy has said that in North Africa, Morocco displays the second best performance after Tunisia which it says, is  the most stable country in the region.

Indeed, the report ranks Tunisia 94th in the country risking bankruptcy, while Morocco, which, according to Foreign Policy has shown that there is a third way for Democratic Change in the Arab world, is ranked 87th.

Algeria had up to 77th place for failed countries, Libya is ranked 50th while Egypt prey to the serious disorders of the Arab Spring has a very bad place at 31 which is overtaken by Mauritania at 38th place.

According to the report, the top five failed states in the world are East African  with in  1st place, Somalia,  DRC Republic of Congo 2nd, 3rd Sudan, Chad 4th, and Zimbabwe in 5th position.

In the Arab world, Yemen and Iraq are the most bankrupt occupying respectively the 8th and 9th places.

Foreign Policy uses a number of indices for the development of its repot, the study deals with clues such as, population pressure, economic decline,the existence and status of refugees, political legitimacy of the regime, service status, and the degree of public safety.
