Morocco, cited among targeted countries, is facing terrorist threats, Govt. spokesperson
Rabat - Communication minister, government spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi said, on Wednesday in Rabat, that Morocco's security policy is marked by efficiency, prevention and continuous adaptation to the evolution of the terrorist phenomenon in order to counter its dangers in the very beginning.

Morocco is facing terrorist threats because it was cited, by its name, as a country targeted by terrorist organizations, El Khalfi added, recalling the launch of the "HADAR" mechanism seeking to reinforce security measures to counter these threats.
The official underlined that the support of Morocco for the UAE is part of the fight against these threats, insisting on the fact that this operation encompasses the military and intelligence fields and takes place under the supervision of the State of the United Arab Emirates and not as part of the international coalition.
During a joint press conference with Interior minister Mohamed Hassad and foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar, El Khalfi said that terrorist organization developed their discourse and modus operandi, which led us to develop our preventive strategy that includes the security, political, legal and religious aspects, building on a long experience in the area.
The Moroccan counterterrorism approach is "comprehensive and multidimensional" given that it deals with the causes and motives behind the terrorist phenomenon, said the official.
