Morocco and Gambia explore means to consolidate bilateral ties

Rabat - Morocco's minister of foreign affairs and cooperation Saad Dine El Otmani, reviewed this Thursday in Rabat with Gambian peer Susan Waffa-Ogoo, means to consolidate bilateral ties.

El Otmani told reporters the two African countries are linked by longstanding excellent relations, noting that the meeting was an opportunity to explore means to promote bilateral cooperation and to discuss arrangements for the upcoming session of the high joint commission.

The Gambian official stressed that Gambia is eager to expand bilateral ties to several sectors, recalling the visit paid to Gambia in 2006 by HM King Mohammed VI.

She also pointed out that Gambia supports the ongoing negotiations process for the settlement of the Sahara issue.
