Morocco Slams Israeli Occupation Forces' Aggression on al-Aqsa

Rabat - Morocco strongly condemned the invasion, Sunday morning, by Israeli occupation forces of the Al Aqsa esplanade and the aggression against the faithful, the Foreign Affairs and Cooperation ministry said.

While condemning these provocative practices that offend the feelings of Muslims worldwide and constitute a flagrant violation of international law and decisions of international law concerning the sanctity of places of worship in occupied Palestine, particularly Al-Quds, Morocco calls on the international community to protect the Palestinians and compel Israel to put an end to its systematic policy to distort the identity and the historical and religious character of Al-Quds Al-Sharif, the ministry said in a statement.

The Kingdom, given the role of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al Quds Committee, in supporting Maqdissis and the triumph of the Palestinian cause, reiterates its constant position in favor of the right of brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al Quds as its capital and the withdrawal of Israel from the occupied territories to the 1967 borders in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative, the statement added.
