Riyadh - Minister Delegate for administration and civil service reform, Mohamed Ben Abdelkader, held talks Wednesday in Riyadh with his Saudi counterpart Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al-Hamdan on the means to step up bilateral cooperation in the areas of public administration modernisation and human resources management.

The meeting was an opportunity for the two sides to express their willingness to renew and continue to work within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the two ministries, which will end in next October.

In a statement to MAP, Ben Abdelkader underlined the importance of cooperation between the two ministries, noting that this cooperation will further strengthen the existing friendship and cooperation ties between the two countries and the two peoples.

He added that the meeting also provided the opportunity to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Arab Organization for Administrative Development, whose executive council is chaired by the Saudi minister, adding that it was agreed to hold the next session of the Council in October in Marrakech.

He also said that he invited his Saudi counterpart to participate in the 2018 United Nations Public Service Forum to be held on 21-23 June in Marrakech on the theme 'Transforming governance to realize the Sustainable Development Goals'. Following these talks, a working session was held during which a series of presentations were presented, in the presence of officials and experts from the two ministries, which dealt with the Kingdom's experience in the digital transformation of administrative services and the strategic vision on the modernisation of the administration.
