Morocco, International Funders Ink 1.5 Million Financing Agreements for Noor II, Noor III Projects
Rabat - Morocco and international funders signed, here Friday, 1.5 million financing agreements for the second phase of the Ouarzazate solar complex (Noor II and Noor III).

These agreements were signed between the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy "Masen, the state and various international funders (WB, AfDB, EIB, AFD, KfW and EU).
"We have reached the end of a very important process of the financing of Noor II and Noor III projects, totaling 350 MW, with 200 MW for Noor II and 150 for Noor III, and will start the construction phase next year", MASEN chief executive Mustapha Bakkoury told MAP.
He also said that "it is a historical, critical and important step that embodies and materializes the running of the solar plan", noting that the funders involved in Noor I have confirmed their confidence in the project by mobilizing the necessary funds to cover the entire investment of these two phases.
Ouarzazate Solar Power Station (OSPS) is a CSP solar thermal power plant, located in the Souss-Massa-Drâa area in Morocco, located 10 km from the Ouarzazate town, in Ghessat rural council area.
