In a statement to the press after the meeting, Panzeri said that the report includes recommendations related to several areas, mainly extensive regionalization, culture and sea fisheries.

The Euro-deputy hoped that the EU and Morocco would continue fostering the work done by the committee in this period to give new momentum to the Moroccan-European cooperation on the eve of European parliamentary elections slated on May 25.

Draiss said that the talks turned on the reforms undertaken by Morocco, which were backed by the European parliament.

Recalling that the committee chose to hold its latest meeting in Dakhla ahead of the European parliament's elections, the minister delegate thanked the Euro-deputies for supporting Morocco.

The 6th annual meeting of the EU-Morocco Joint Parliamentary Committee is part of its strategy to strengthen and support the process of partnership and cooperation between Morocco and the EU and between parliamentarians from both sides.
