Morocco - Cote d'Ivoire: Signature of six cooperation agreements

Abidjan: King Mohammed VI and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara, presided, early on Tuesday evening at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan, at the signing of six agreements on bilateral cooperation in various fields.

This is a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries, which was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Saad El Dine Otmani, and Minister'' State Ivorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Charles Koffi Diby.

The second agreement concerns the cooperation between Morocco and Cô te d'Ivoire for the encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments. It was signed by the Minister of Economy and Finance Nizar Baraka, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, in charge of Economy and Finance, Nialé Kaba.

The third agreement, signed by the Minister of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch, and the Ivorian Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Kobenan Adjoumani Kouassi, focuses on bilateral cooperation in fisheries and aquaculture.

The fourth agreement on air services between the two countries, was signed by the Minister of Equipment and Transport, Aziz Rebbah and the Ivorian Minister of Transport, Gaoussou Touré.

The fifth agreement on vocational training in the field of tourism, was signed by the Minister of Tourism, Lahcen Haddad, and his Ivorian counterpart, Roger Kakou.

The final agreement, signed by the Minister for the Interior, Charki Draiss and Ivorian Minister, Minister of Interior and Security, Hamed Bakayouko, focuses on Moroccan-Ivorian civil protection.
