The Commission for aid for the production of films ecided to grant advances on receipts before and after production of several projects and features and shorts films.

The Commission for aid for the production of films decided, at the end of its first session in aid for the year 2013, held on  Wednesday and Thursday in Rabat, to grant advances on receipts for production several on projects and film features and shorts, as well as help with rewriting scripts.

Advances on earnings before production are thus granted to projects for feature films "Bet Spicy", to be directed by Mohamed Karrat from his own screenplay, which has received support from 4.3 million dh, "A mile in my shoes "to be directed by Said Khallaf from his own screenplay (4,100,000 dh) and" Heart Drowned" to be directed by Faris Lakimi from the scenario of Dorothy Landelle (3,600,000 dh) and the short film "Water and Blood" to be directed by Abdelilah El Jaouhary from the scenario  of Mohamed Arious (200,000 dh), the commission said  on Thursday in a statement.

Advances on receipts for production totaling 1.5 million dh were awarded to the feature film "Born somewhere," directed by Mohamed Hamidi from his own screenplay, while the short film "The recruitment," directed by Abdeslam Kalei after the scenario  of Abdelkader Dabbagh assisted with 80,000 dh.

The commission also awarded in the category of aid for rewriting the sum of 50,000 dh for the proposed feature film "Empty box", written and directed by Sana Akroud.

During this session, the Commission, chaired by Abdelkrim Berrechid, examined twelve projects for feature films and a draft short film, candidates in advance of earnings before production. It also watched two short and one long film candidates ahead of earnings after production.

In addition to its chairman, the committee includes Sabah Bendaoud, Fatima Ifriqui, Driss Tahri, Mohamed Hicham Regragui, Thami Hejaj, Mohamed Louali , Mohamed Belfqih, Bachir Edkhil, Mohamed El Kadmiri, Abdelhak Afandi and Tariq Khalami.
