Rabat: French President François Hollande is expected in early April in Morocco for a state visit, during which he will give a speech to the House of Representatives.

The visit to Morocco by  French President François Hollande is behind the government's haste to request the holding of a special session of Parliament.

 Local media sources , have, in this regard, said that the Head of Government Abdelilah Benkirane has decided to hold an extraordinary session of Parliament in anticipation of the speech to be delivered by Hollande before the parliamentarians on 4 April .

The special session will begin on Tuesday,  and Parliament eill  also consider five bills.

In the absence of quorum, a third of the members of the House of Representatives or the majority of the House of Councillors, the government issued a decree stipulating the holding of this session to address the backlog of the year on considering several bills ready for adoption.

They deal with the many criticisms of the political class, of the government, given its slow progresss on  the draft organic laws to supplement the constitutional charter, the government of Abdelilah Benkirane tried to calm critics by producing , a legislative plan with a timetable.
