Morocco Allocates 20 Billion Dirhams to Build LNG Plant

Rabat - Morocco has allocated 20 billion dirhams to build a liquefied natural gas plant, Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Abdelkader Amara, said Tuesday.
The schedule for the achievement of this mega project, which requires a budget of 20 billion dirhams, was changed, Amara said at the question time of the House of Representatives. 

A call for expression of interest was announced last Monday, he added.

The operation of the first quantity of LNG will start as of 2020. It will be intended primarily to electricity and the industrial sector
