Casablanca: A sharp drop is recorded in the telecoms market in Morocco, for the first quarter of 2013.

There was a decrease of over 10% registered for the first three months of 2013, in Morocco's  telecom sector..

According to a media source it is the second largest telecoms operator in the country, Méditel, which occupies the first place in the podium of poor performance on the market, with a drop in activity of over 15%.

The incumbent Maroc Telecom , meanwhile saw its numbers atrophy at  7%, thus complicating the task of its French owner, Vivendi hoping get a good pricefor the sale of its 53% stake in the Moroccan company .

Inwi, says the source, which has achieved great success since its launch in 2010, has also decreased significantly.

The telecom sector in search of innovation, looks decidedly bad despite the maturity of its market in the kingdom.
