Moroccan national, injured during kidnapping of Jordanian ambassador in Tripoli, repatriated

Tripoli - The Moroccan driver of the Jordanian Ambassador, who was injured during the kidnapping of the diplomat on Tuesday in Tripoli, returned Sunday to Morocco, according to the Embassy of the Kingdom in Libya.

Upon arrival to Morocco, Mellouk Bathaoui was hospitalized, the same source said.

The Moroccan authorities took charge of the medical expenses of Bathaoui who lived with his family in Libya for 27 years.

In a statement to MAP, Bathaoui was grateful for the Kingdom's support, while welcoming HM the King's care toward the members of the Moroccan expatriate community in distress.
