Moroccan football federation appeals CAF sanctions
Lausanne (Switzerland) - The Moroccan football federation (FRMF) filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport concerning sanctions taken against it by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), said the Court on Tuesday in a statement.

CAF had decided to ban Morocco from participating in the 2017 and 2019 tournaments and demanded nine million USD in fines.

The FRMF demanded the annulment of such decisions and handing a final verdict before the end of March 2015, said the statement, adding that an arbitration procedure is being conducted pursuant to sports arbitration laws.

Morocco had proposed to put off the African Cup of Nations, slated for Jan.17 through Feb.8, over Ebola epidemic health risks.
