Moroccan Salafists launch the Moroccan Movement for Reform

The Moroccan Movement for Reform is the new political entity that is preparing to launch itself to a religious audience of Moroccan Salafists led by a sheikh, Abu Hafs Abdelouahab Rafiki whose alias is Abou Hafs.

Salafists promoting this project have clarified the ideological orientation that they intend to give to their movement
through a doctrinal document explaining their refusal of democracy in its Western form,judging inappropriate for the realities of Moroccan  Muslim society.

In place, of the national democractic system the salafists advocate the 'shura' as a mechanism of Sharia, which
dictates  the make up of power and fighting against injustice and absolutism of rulers.

For them, the Western democratic system has major flaws whose principal fault for the people, is that it is the source of all legitimate authority whereas for them the legitimacy and authority is an emanation of God.

They accept that mechanisms such as representations of the parliament as established in Morocco, provided that its role is strictly bound to deliver opinions to inform the regent.

Referring to the monarchy, the movement known as the pass system unifying the Moroccan people, citing case law from the Muslim  "salaf" Scholars  who accepted on behalf of the interests of the Ummah, the advent of the Umayyad hereditary monarchy in the first century of the Hegira, even if the origin in Islam is to enforce the rules of the Caliphate, based on the regency of a religious imam elected for life by clerics.


Amazigh, Jews and Christians

for the new Salafi movement, the Amazigh people are fundamental part of  the Moroccan Muslim faith, there is no need to pay in the separatist ethnic, linguistic and cultural, as advocated by certain segments of society or certain political entities, Moroccans, they say, are Muslims, and only, all other considerations as such, should be outlawed, and Arabic should be imposed as the sole language of the Moroccan people.

Moroccan Jews, for this movement have the same status as the Christians resident in the kingdom, namely 'dhimmis ',monotheists, not Muslim, refugees in the Islamic world, according to the comrades of Abu Hafs, they must be provided protection and rights as established by the Islamic Sharia, without guaranteeing them the rights of citizenship.
