Moroccan-Ivorian economic impetus group holds its first meeting in Abidjan

Abidjan - The Moroccan-Ivorian economic impetus group, a body set up to promote bilateral economic partnership, held on Tuesday in Abidjan its first meeting, on the sidelines of the working and friendship visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Côte d'Ivoire.

Co-chaired by foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar and Ivorian counterpart Charles Diby Koffi, in the presence of both countries' economic operators, this working meeting was an occasion for the two parties to voice their resolve to make every effort to boost their economic cooperation pursuant to the joint will of HM the King and president Alassane Ouattara.

During this meeting, the two sides agreed to hold two yearly meetings, alternately in Morocco and Côte d'Ivoire, to assess actions carried out, spot shortcomings and think about ideal solutions.

Speaking on this occasion, Mezouar noted that the setting up of this group mirrors the will of the two leaders, HM King Mohammed VI and president Alassane Ouattara to further reinforce bilateral relations.

This group will give concrete structure to the cooperation approach advocated by HM the King and the Ivorian president and help create a real win-win partnership dynamic, he said.

Charles Diby Koffi deemed that the inception of this group will enable the establishment of a partnership that is dynamic and innovative, and generates wealth and jobs. He also hailed the exemplary and deep cooperation uniting the two countries.
